The CIRB at the Collège de France
The Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Biology (CIRB), directed by Alain Prochiantz, is a research institute located in the Collège de France in the Center of Paris. It is composed of 18 teams, specializing in various fields including infectious diseases, neurosciences (from molecular to integrated), cardio-vascular research, and mathematics. This center has several state-of-the art facilities (animal, imaging, histology). It also benefits from being in the vicinity of several other internationally leading research institutes, such as the Biology Institute of the Ecole Normale Supérieure and the ESCPI. Together with the CIRB, the IBENS and ESPCI form the Laboratory of Excellence Memolife.
